The SVSGEA annual "Pageant of Steam" Show will held at the Clark County Fairgrounds in Berryville, VA on July 23rd, 24th, and 25th, 2010. Make plans to bring the family!

Directions: The Steam Show will be held at the Ruritan-Clarke County Show Grounds, located on Business Route 7, 1 mile west of downtown Berryville, VA.
Approximately a 10-minute drive from Winchester, VA, east of Interstate 81, on Route 7.

Show Description The Shenandoah Valley Steam & Gas Engine Association holds its annual "Pageant of Steam and Gas Show" on the last full weekend of July every year at the Clark County Fairgrounds in Berryville, VA. Our show features some of the finest restored farm tractors, restored farm equipment, a working steam-powered belt-driven saw mill, demonstrations of a vintage belt-driven threshing machine and hay bailer, a "parade of tractors", and a tractor pull featuring ONLY vintage stock farm tractors. Usually a few of the steam traction engines will demonstrate their power by participating in the tractor pull. "What a crowd pleaser!" However, antique, restored, and vintage farm equipment are not the only things folks will see when they visit our annual "Pageant of Steam & Gas Show" each year. Visitors to our Show will find a wide assortment "vintage toys" such as demonstrations of vintage gas-powered Maytag washing machines, several collections of early rotary and self-propelled lawnmowers, vintage outboard motors, restored vintage lawn and garden equipment, as well as one of finest displays of restored antique and vintage pickup trucks, fire trucks, dump trucks, wreckers, and over-the-road truck tractors. Our show also features a large flea market with vendors offering everything from used, hard-to-find parts for old engines and equipment to new and used tools, T-shirts, ball caps, antique collectables, crafts and leather goods. We also feature an area for those folks who wish to sell or swap tractors, equipment and equipment parts. We have an outdoor auction on Saturday morning of our show each year. Saturday nights at our show will find everyone sitting in the grandstands, or up dancing while listening to some of the finest Bluegrass music to be heard in these parts of Virginia! Hungry yet? You can find just about anything to curb that appetite in our Show Park. Vendors feature everything from hamburgers and hotdogs with fries and Cole slaw to Italian Sausage to Fried Chicken and Roast Beef plates, Bar-B-Q, sodas, tea, lemonade, ice cream, funnel cakes, snow cones, and did I mention the "steam cooked" bean soup?
