2010 Swap-Toy

Once again, the Shenandoah Valley Steam and Gas Engine Association, never satisfied with just being consistent, regular, usual, and always "being the same", has once again branched out by adding a new Antique Truck-Tractor Parts Swap Meet to our annual Toy Show.

As we made plans for our 10th annual Toy Show, under the watchful eye of Toy Show Manager Chris Collis, the Club decided that we would also add an outdoor Swap Meet, managed by Steam Show Director Charlie Gray. The club also decided to move the Toy Show to the Craft Buildings of the Clark County-Ruritan Show Grounds to accommodate the outdoor Swap Meet. And last, the club decided to make both events a TWO-DAY event over the whole weekend of March 27th and 28th, 2010. Despite the cold temperatures, we had a beautiful weekend with lots of fun and fellowship. Thanks to all of our exhibitors and Swap Meet participants as well as our Community and Public for their support.

	The SVSGEA 10th annual Toy Show is put together and managed by Chris Collis, shown at left, along with Steam Show Director Tom Cochran and many volunteers. Each year, we are indeed fortunate to host some of the finest toy exhibits and collectable collections on the East Coast.
Our first annual SVSGEA Antique Tractor/Truck Parts Swap Meet was put together and managed by Steam Show Director Charlie Gray, shown in the photo at right in the brown jacket. For our first-time Swap Meet, we had a good variety of parts, shop manuals, engines, and "swap items".

	For anyone who attended our 2009 "Pageant of Steam" Show last July, our SVSGEA Steam Show Photographer has put together a disk containing over 2,000 photos taken during the 3-day July 2009 Steam Show. The disks also features 3 video clips of our Equipment Demonstrations. These disks are formatted for computers only, however, they can be used for making copies of the photos by taking the disk to any Wal-Mart or Photo store. These disks are available for $10.00 each. Contact any of the SVSGEA Officers or Directors.
