Throughout the
weekend, we feature demonstrations of our vintage farm equipment
from years long gone past. This year, we had two young guys
from PA and WV who wanted to participate in our Threshing Machine
demonstration. Shown below are Eugene Kimmer from Indiana, PA
and Dustin Hoaks from Fort Ashby, WV.
As we like to say .... "They done good!" |

Each year, there
is always someone who will show up with a very unique vehicle or
piece of equipment. For 2010, meet Barry Sine of
Stephens City, VA and his Miniature Model T.
Thanks for
visiting our show, Barry! |

Each year, the
SVSGEA Officers, Show Directors and Members are proud to welcome
members of the Mason-Dixon Chapter of the American Truck Historical
Society of Frederick, MD who bring some really beautiful antique
tractor-trailer trucks to put on display at our Show. This
year, however, we are saddened by the loss of Mr. Fred Craig, shown
below with one of his trucks from the 2009 Show. Fred lost his
battle with Cancer in March of this year. We extend our deepest
condolences to the Craig Family. We want to thank the
Mason-Dixon members and many others who brought their antique trucks
to our show this year. |

Remember us
mentioning the unusually hot temperatures for this year's Show?
Oh ... we did?
Shown at left is
Mel Fair, member of the Mason-Dixon Chapter of the American Truck
Historical Society.
See.... there
was this ICE truck that rolled into the park to fill up all of the
ICE machines. Notice the ICE truck in the background of the
photo? We did not ask Mel where the ICE came from. Mel
does look like he is COOLING OFF. |

Many of the Steam
Tractors featured at our Show use fire wood to get their boilers
going. However, some also use Coal. Here we can see a
couple of our Steam Tractors "backing up to the Coal Station". |

Sunday afternoon
--- Time for our annual Mule Pull and Mule Jump. And back
again with his country wit and humor is our announcer Mike Marpole.
And this year, Mother Nature provided some exciting entertainment
during the Mule Jump. As you look at the photos, you will see
what we later learned was the outer winds of a tornado that passed
by pretty close to the Show Grounds, followed by heavy rain.
The rest of the Mule Jump as well as the Kid's Tractor Pull was
cancelled by SVSGEA Officials in the interest of safety. |

And so with the

safety reasons, we will finish out our Steam Show web pages with
photos from our 3-day collection yet to be published. |
